Every election season, campaign signs line the roads. In this clip from my Fargo Talks conversation, Cliff Maloney, CEO of Citizens Alliance, shares the sarcastic saying his team uses about the sign wars, and what he tells campaigns to do with supporters who want more signs.
Then he explains what the metrics say about signs and votes. The views in this clip are Cliff's.
In our full conversation, Cliff walks through how Citizens Alliance runs paid door-knocking programs in Pennsylvania, Arizona, New Hampshire and Nevada.
Do campaign yard signs win votes?
Cliff Maloney of Citizens Alliance says the metrics and data his team sees show that signs are not equaling votes. His advice: don't discourage excited supporters. Give them the signs they want, then redirect that energy into knocking doors, making phone calls, bringing friends to events and making a plan to vote.
