Want 100 Door Knockers? Start With 1,000

Plenty of people tell Cliff Maloney they want to start a door-knocking program and hire 100 people. In this clip from my Fargo Talks conversation, Cliff Maloney, CEO of Citizens Alliance, walks through what it actually takes to get 100 door knockers in the field, from applications to signed contracts to week one.

Then he answers the critics who say he's hiring the wrong people. The views in this clip are Cliff's.

In our full conversation, Cliff walks through how Citizens Alliance runs paid door-knocking programs in Pennsylvania, Arizona, New Hampshire and Nevada.

How many applications does it take to hire 100 door knockers?
Cliff Maloney of Citizens Alliance says that to hire 100 people, his team probably needs about 1,000 applications and around 600 interviews. They lock in 140 to 150 people with signed contracts, about 120 show up, and they lose about 10 in the first week. He says Citizens Alliance has knocked nearly 10 million doors and won over 450 elections.
