Why would the same door knocker keep coming back to your house every seven to 10 days? In this clip from my Fargo Talks conversation, Cliff Maloney, CEO of Citizens Alliance, explains why his team sends the same person back to the same door once ballots go out, and the one thing that makes the knocking stop.
Then he answers people who think the approach could backfire. The views in this clip are Cliff's.
In our full conversation, Cliff walks through how Citizens Alliance runs paid door-knocking programs in Pennsylvania, Arizona, New Hampshire and Nevada.
How does Citizens Alliance get supporters who don't vote to cast a ballot?
Cliff Maloney of Citizens Alliance says his team sends the same door knocker back to each door every seven to 10 days once ballots go out, so voters see a familiar face. Tyler Boyer calls it relational organizing, and Cliff describes it as Turning Point's big model. Once a voter casts a ballot, Cliff says, they're out of his universe and the knocking stops. The voters he targets are people with a Trump 2028 flag in the front yard who are all in but don't vote.
