Everyone judges coaches and fighters by how they look. Too nerdy. Too soft. Not tough enough. That is the wrong focus.
Some of the best fighters in history did not look like superheroes. Daniel Cormier was a heavyweight champion. Fedor looked like a regular guy. None of that mattered. What mattered was performance and discipline.
But that is not the real issue.
The real issue is ethics. The real issue is who we allow around children. "I have trained for decades and all over the world. I do not care what a coach looks like. I care about their character. I care about their history. I care about whether they should be trusted around kids."
McDojoLife calls out the idea that background checks should not exist in martial arts. That is where he draws the line. If you work with children, safety comes first. Skill does not replace responsibility. Talent does not replace trust.
This clip is about standards, accountability, and why protecting kids matters more than protecting egos.
