He told me a story that explains a lot about how people are shaped.
When he was 15, he was fighting in nightclub bars doing what they called patron boxing. The way he got in was simple. The promoter asked for a waiver signed by his mom. She signed it.
People judged her for that. They thought she was reckless. But from his perspective, that trust changed everything.
He said she didn’t completely let go. She was still protective. But she loosened the reins just enough to let him make decisions, learn lessons, and experience real consequences for himself.
He believes those experiences are what put him on the path he’s on today. Learning responsibility early. Learning judgment. Learning what kind of person he wanted to become.
This isn’t about recklessness. It’s about trust, growth, and how sometimes controlled risk is what helps someone discover their direction in life.
