@McDojoLifetold me how fast everything changed.

Two weeks after moving to LA, he had funding lined up for a documentary. The idea was simple but heavy. Make a film about frauds, cult behavior, and the darker side of the martial arts world.

Once the funding showed up, the real question became how to build the right story. Distributors wanted something current, something real, something that connected to the way people are drawn to true crime and real cases happening right now.

What surprised me most was the level of support. People like Kelly Slater, Johnny Knoxville, Jeff Tremaine, and others took time to hear the pitch. Fighters, creators, comedians, and public figures who actually train and understand martial arts backed the mission.

The goal wasn’t celebrity for the sake of celebrity. It was showing that people who have credibility and experience saw value in exposing problems that others ignore.

At the end of the day, he’s not trying to force anyone to agree. He’s just asking people to listen, make up their own mind, and understand why this matters.

This conversation is about building something bigger than content, standing behind a message, and what happens when the right people decide it’s worth supporting.
