Welcome to Fargo Talks. Fargo Talks Fargo Talks. This is Fargo Talks. It's recording This is, I am excited and fucking terrified at the same time with this goddamn episode. You and me both. With you three. Why are you scared? Holy moly, here we go. I don't know what I'm going to say. Well, again. It's something that's been talked about that back when I was single is like dating sucks dating in Vegas I've heard is awful the worst according to my post. I made a lot of people agree point taken my dear So hundreds of comments, so I've been talking with like with you guys glad you're here, but talking with you guys to go I want to have people come in female to talk about an unfiltered Dating in Vegas, and I think a lot of it will resonate to All y'all that aren't here, that's fine because I think it's going to be applicable to other places in the country.
00:01:03
Fair enough? Agreed. Fair enough. Fair enough. Is there any thoughts that you ladies want to get off your chest before? Because I have questions. Oh, I have questions. Well, before we start, I want to say that I have not actively dated in the past year and a half on purpose. I have not done it. You have. Yes. And you have. Yes. So. Our opinions are going to be based off the fact that I haven't dated in almost two years. Also, our opinions are going to be based off of what we want.
00:01:28
Maybe some people aren't looking for a relationship right now and they're just dating for fun. Absolutely. So please take that with a grain of salt. Now, my question, my follow-up to you, Heather, is that when you don't date for a year and a half, are you automatically revert back to a virgin? Does your hymen come back? It's so funny you say that. Is it sealed back up again? Can I tell you something really funny? You have to go horseback riding? I literally told my best friend.
00:01:51
Two days ago, no joke. I go, I'm pretty sure I'm a virgin again. I think you like restart. Does it grow back? I don't think it grows back. There's no growing. I think that if we can, if any doctors could chime in the comments that does the hymen grow back after a year and a half? I think it might get a little bit tighter. Does it reseal? What happened? happens does it reseal hey man whoever i guess fucks me the first time after this long it's gonna have a great time oh this is what the podcast is gonna be like we're starting out strong basically basically having sex with you for a guy's gonna be hitting like the vaginal powerball lottery oh my god Mom and dad, don't watch this one.
00:02:34
Her phone. After this podcast airs, bing, No, I got to stop. I will say that is really funny you say that because I literally made that joke a couple days ago. I was like, I'm pretty sure I'm a virgin again. Pretty much the thing now. Yeah. It'll be two years in July. Oh, you're definitely, if you hit July, you're definitely a virgin. I think so. 100%. I'm okay with it. I honestly, I don't know how long it's been for you two. Obviously, you're married. But honestly, they're like bunnies.
00:03:03
I'll just say that it has really cleared my head in a lot of ways. I feel like when you're dating, little things can trigger you. And this is a big reason why I took a step away from it. I feel like little things could trigger you and alter your perspective of life. And you'll get distracted by something because you're having a bad day because that person did something. And that's what it was doing for me. It was making me where I was like having bad days because my partner or the person that I liked was treating me not the nicest.
00:03:31
And that is why I did it. I needed to like clear my head. And now I feel like I am way more of a logical person when it comes to dating. I see my friends in bad relationships and I'll be the first one to be like, hey, that's probably not a good sign. You should probably walk away from that. So, I mean, I'm not against it. Like if a nice guy walked up, I do have a crush on someone. But if a nice guy walked up and he was like a normal person, then I would try it.
00:03:57
But right now I'm like. I'm not going on apps. No offense. Let's get to question one. I'm taking. Well, wait, can I ask something real quick? So because you've been like celibate for almost two years, do you feel like you're, are you saying that like, because you've been like removed from that, you have like a clearer sense of like toxic versus non-toxic relationships? Yes, 100%. I think I look at it now and I go, I mean, don't get me wrong, a nice, hot, toxic man with tattoos at five foot or six foot.
00:04:25
She loves a good face tattoo. Six two or, you know, yeah, face tattoos or long hair really just fucking does it for me. So who knows? I might be back in the toxicity very soon. But with that being said, yeah, I think now I can look at things and be like, I can look at someone like if I was trying to date you and you did something that I was like, oh, I don't like that. I'm not jumping at you because you're hot. I'm now looking at like, oh, you're hot.
00:04:47
but you're toxic, I'm probably not going to fuck with that. But I feel like sometimes we need that break to then bring us into a better place to accept love or to be in a serious relationship if that's what you're looking for. I feel like you're going to be the therapist of the episode. Oh, my God. Oh, absolutely. She's going to stop and be like, this is why you're doing this. You know, I do have a master's degree. Oh, okay. Well, I have a biggest education.
00:05:11
So here we go. What was the word you had to look up? you didn't know what it was oh arrogant arrogant she had to ask siri what arrogance meant yeah let's go ccsd let's go california education let's go ccsd all right question one what's the biggest mistake people make when dating in vegas that would never fly in any other city i feel like everything goes in vegas i feel like you get a little bit of everyone Like you get the people who are really nice, who will, you know, take you on like three dates before asking you to come over.
00:05:47
And then you have like the people who are also like, you know, club tonight, club tonight. Yeah, I think that's the problem with Vegas. You have more out of towners in Vegas. So I feel like dating in Vegas that wouldn't fly other places is the fact that people come into this city. This is the one thing I don't get. I have two friends that do this and I don't know if you guys do this, but people come into the city as vacation. They talk to the person because they come into their radar, and then they try to date someone that lives in a different state.
00:06:15
And I'm like, well, that ain't going to fucking work because I'm not taking my time and my money to go fly to see you. You want to come back here? Go for it. But I see that a lot, that people date out of state, and I'm like, I can't do that. I have this thing about, like, not wanting to be, like, somebody's, like, Vegas girl. So, like, I don't date people out of state because I'm like, I'm not going to be, like, your Vegas girl. Like, I'm not going to be the girl that you— call up when you and your friends are in Vegas so that way you can come and stay with me or that, you know, you can use my connections to, you know, to get into clubs or whatever.
00:06:44
One second. No. So you said, she says, fuck me. And you go connections. Cause I have a Vegas education. This year's a master's degree. Welcome you and I'll be though. So, you know, I mean, it's hilarious. Sorry to interrupt, but I saw it. I'm like, fuck me. I mean, connections. I was hoping that we could like glaze over that. I'm like, you She said, fuck me. And so I was like, comma. Connections. Okay. Do you not realize we're on a podcast with her right now? Well, no, no.
00:07:11
I'm just, I'm like, I'm feeling it out. This is my first time. This is only like the second, third podcast. I'm a virgin again. You're a virgin again. We're just living our virgin life today. Bunch of stuff sealing up. Okay, go ahead, Talia. Thoughts? I do agree with the whole transient thing. I think, well, it depends on the city, but majority of dating in the United States, I would say people aren't going to vacation there. People aren't going to vacation to Little Rock, Arkansas. Do you know what I mean?
00:07:38
But here it's like, I would say if I were to match with 10 people, seven of them are visiting. I don't like to meet up with tourists because they're just trying to party. They don't actually want to get to know you. And they want to have a crazy Vegas experience. To the point where it's really turned me off. Like, I'm not currently on any dating apps right now. Because it's just like, link tonight. What are you doing? Oh, I have a table. Oh, really? Oh, great.
00:08:01
You have a table? I can get a table tomorrow, too. Or I can get a table tonight, too. Right. A table with one bottle? Please? Yeah, I'm like, you probably don't even get a bottle comp. No offense. But I'm not going to go to that. I'm not going to get dressed. Put on heels. Get ready. To go to a club at your table. Right. That you're paying for. Exactly. And on top of that, you're going to try to touch me. Get away. Literally get away from me.
00:08:21
And then they see another hot girl at the club and then they're like, oh, I know I brought you here. Yeah. Yeah. That girl's hot. Yeah. See ya. Oh, that's another thing is like, you know, there's like the whole like leveling up mentality here. Yeah. Because say like I'm with Heather, but if another person comes in and they think that they're better. Bye, Heather. Yeah. Oh, that's a big problem here. That is a big, big problem here. I see it all the time where a guy will be dating a girl that I think is like a 10, but then they find a girl that they think they're leveling up on.
00:08:54
So it's by that person. And then when that person doesn't work out, they go back to that person. I'm like, what the fuck are you doing? It's very like transactional. Yes. I feel like. Yes. I just feel like, especially with dating, which is so weird because people are always talking about, oh, it's so hard to find love. Well, does love include what you can get from me to help you in your career? And I feel like that's what's so hard about what we do and the people that we know.
00:09:20
And that's why I brought up connections earlier is because I feel like, right, when we… No, not those extra connections. I just meant like the connections we have like with... like tables and you know clubs and stuff like we all know people within the industry within every industry in vegas who can who are at you know the top of their of their career what also sucks i think for like us is the fact that people know that we have connections in this city so i i mean i don't want to share business but i do know a certain person that got a text recently that said something that was inappropriate from someone being like oh i can use you and i was like That's.
00:10:02
not cool to send to someone. You know what I mean? To flat out be like, I'm going to use you. I just don't like that stuff. And I think that's what a lot of men see it as. Like, oh, what can I get from you? Especially as an influencer, because they know we go to free food or we go to free whatever. So, it's kind of sad. On behalf of all men across the world, I apologize. Thank you. You're welcome. Seriously. But it's just like, chivalry to me is dying.
00:10:27
Oh, it's dead. It's dying. It's dead. My wife doesn't touch a door handle. I opened all the doors for her, even the car. Like I was going on in my mind yesterday and we all went somewhere. We came back and I walked inside and she texted me. She forget something. She was sitting in the car in the garage. I'm like, oh my God, I'm so sorry. She's like, it's fine. She's laughing about it. But I ran right out and opened the door for her. I can't tell you.
00:10:50
And I don't know about you guys, but like when a guy does something nice, like opens a door, like something so simple as open the door, doesn't it just like give a little like pitter patter in your heart? And it's something so stupid and small. But it literally makes me go, oh, that was nice. Chivalry is something that needs to come back. Respect needs to come back because especially here, I think. It's so transactional. But why would a guy do it when there's a lot of girls that are this is going to get me in trouble.
00:11:20
But I'm going to say it anyway. I feel like girls are a little bit too willing to date a dude that doesn't treat them right or hook up with them. Does that make sense? They're more willing Girls now don't put their foot down and be like, you're treating me bad. I feel like girls have, it's going to sound so bad, have like daddy issues, a lot of them now, because I was like this and I would just take bad behavior and accept it because I just wanted to feel loved.
00:11:45
And that's the problem. As a guy, like you could, let's say me and Talia, and let's say, you know, how do I, let's not use Talia. Me and another girl. meet another girl and let's say i'm the hotter one i don't that's why i don't want to say it like that but let's just i'm just trying to give you an example i'm the hotter one but i'm more difficult you're gonna probably go after talia more because she's more easy and i'm using you again you're gonna go to talia more because she's easier and she's not gonna give you problems level of drama that a guy's willing to deal with yeah so i feel like that's the problem a lot of girls are like okay sure let me let me yeah yeah no problem i'll be there like even though he just canceled on you 10 minutes ago, but he changed his mind.
00:12:25
And I think that's a big problem that we have too. Girls are not standing up for themselves anymore. Yes, like what you're saying is true. But I think that we're getting to a point where more and more women are, or more just people in general, are finding that like love exists like in all areas of your life. Yeah, it doesn't have to just be with the opposite sex. Exactly. It doesn't have to just be like a romantic partner. And I mean, I have a lot of guy friends who do the same thing, you know.
00:12:51
and you know I don't have to put out, you know, like they'll they'll buy me coffee. They'll open doors for me. And I surround myself with people who raise my standards so high that I think that that is why I have such a hard time dating is because my standards are already so high. And I'm so fulfilled in my life. Exactly. The platonic relationships that I have and the friendships that I have that like, why would I accept anything less? Yeah. Beyond the help of mechanics.
00:13:20
Right. Take that out of it. What if you want the passion, the sensuality of a man? It's too much. I think it comes, for me, it comes too much drama with it that I just rather not. Like, it's been almost two years. It's fascinating. Because I think, you know what happens? I think once you take it away, like for a good like probably three or four months after, I probably was like, damn, I really want to have sex. But like once it's gone, like you kind of forget about it.
00:13:45
You're just kind of like, okay. Like I really don't. I don't really care anymore. Oh. What? You don't care about sex? Not anymore. I mean, I think that... Because being treated nice and act like someone actually caring about you is more important than getting dicked down. I hate to say it. They have toys for that. Sorry. Like, they do. I'm not saying, like, I use them. I actually don't because I'm too busy. I literally wake up. I go to work. I do work. I go home.
00:14:11
And I'm, like, asleep by night. A year and a half of no dick... No dick, no toys. Machine-operated or regular. She's a monk. She's a monk. I'm a nun now. I'm a nun now. This is my last question about with guys and, well, red flags. What's the biggest red flag you can spot within five minutes? When they talk about how much money they either have or don't have. I know one thing about this. Like, within, like, the first, like, I don't know, 20, 30 minutes of, like, a date.
00:14:41
When somebody, I feel like either way, like, if somebody's like, oh, like. yeah like I just like oh my god like I just make so much money I'm like no you don't like no you don't if you are flexing about how you're making a bunch of money or how important you are or whatever you're not right you're not yeah because the fact that you have to feel the need to say that is a big red flag it's a mask I will say the biggest red flag is how they treat you on a first date it's not in the first five minutes but you can you can spot the red flag on the first date every time every time and it's It's almost to the point now that's why I don't even go on dates because it's like every time I'd go on a date, I'd be like, there was a this is man, I'm getting myself in trouble.
00:15:25
There was a guy who literally within the first 10 minutes of a date and I didn't even realize we were on a date. I thought we were just like hanging out. He goes, oh, yeah, don't go in that group. Are we dating the same guy? I'm on it. And I was like, well, now I'm going to go look. That's a major red flag. I was like, now I'm going to go look because now I want to see what the fuck is going on. And let me tell you, the story that girl put in there, I wouldn't have dated him again.
00:15:46
I was... Wasn't planning on it anyway. But I was like, holy shit, dude. What are you doing? What are you doing? So you were not just assuming friendship? Yeah, like I was talking to him on Instagram and like he was really cool. And a lot of my friendships, I feel like, don't you feel like you get a lot of your friendships from like a DM or finally meeting that person in person? And you're like, this person is cool as they are on Instagram. And they just end up being your friend or am I the only weirdo?
00:16:08
No, that actually happened to me recently. Like I went to breakfast with someone who like he followed me from like. vegan video that I posted and he's vegetarian and he like was away from Vegas was moving back he finally came back anyways we went to breakfast and I think that like he's like conventionally attractive like I think he's cute but um when we were talking like it just felt like very friendly like it just felt does he think it was a date I don't know well but I I literally was just talking to this dude just to talk to him because I thought it was cool he was he like does I can't say because I realize it's going to point out who he is but Okay.
00:16:43
I was like, oh, yeah, you're cool. Like, yeah, let's go grab a drink at the bar. And then, can I tell you the biggest flex, though? The bartender paid for our tab because he knew who I was. So he didn't even have to pay for our dinner because I was like, he's taking care of you, good. That's cool. I know. I was like, perfect, because now I really don't feel like it's a date. Did he leave a tip? Yeah, there you go. I think so. Good.
00:17:06
Yeah. We should do that. Yeah, I feel like that's another red flag. Here's the thing, too. Like I hate to say if a guy asks you out and chivalry. Please tell me if I'm wrong. If a guy asks you out on a date, he better fucking pay for the bill. Because, like, I didn't want to go. Or maybe I did want to go. But at the same time, like, I feel like it's just, like, the rule. I don't know. This is going to end up being a clip.
00:17:27
And then the clip is going to be, this bitch is crazy. We should be splitting the bill on a first date. But I think that, like, if you're inviting me out to dinner, you should pay for the bill. Now, if you don't want to spend $500 on a bill, don't take us to freaking berries. Take us to somewhere a little, like, I always like going on, and I don't know about you guys, a first date, like, low-key. Like, one of my last first dates I went on was we went to In-N-Out and we played bingo.
00:17:51
That's cute. Because then I felt like, yeah, I felt like, okay, cool. It's non-aggressive on money. It's very, like, chilled and relaxed. We're eating in the freaking In-N-Out restaurant. And then, like, it's chill and fun and something like we could just talk while we're eating and hanging out. versus like getting all dressed up to go on a date because nothing is worse than getting all dressed up to go on a date that sucks that sucks yeah talk your biggest red flag um talking them without seeing or without talking to them What do you mean?
00:18:22
Like, am I just seeing you like face value and I haven't had a conversation with you or we're talking and you say something to me? Okay. I can do both. I can do both. So when we're talking and say you asked me out on a date and I agree, yes, let's go. Then they say, what do you want to do? Oh, I hate that. I will ghost you. I will never answer you. If you're going to ask me out, have an idea or have a couple ideas so I can choose.
00:18:47
Don't ask me, what do you want to do? Because that shows you don't care and you're not putting any thought. There's no effort into it. And that's a major red flag because if you're not even going to show up in that kind of effort in the most baseline of dating, then we're probably not going to work out. Wait, stop. As influencers in the community of food, has a guy ever said like, let's go to this restaurant? And you're like, oh, bad choice. Oh, yeah. Oh, that's another thing.
00:19:11
That's a great question. With like what, obviously what we do, we review restaurants and whatnot. Some people will find out what I do and they're just like. well, I'm nervous to like take you somewhere now because what if you don't like it? And to be honest, I don't care. As long as you put effort into it, I'm not going to blame you for choosing the restaurant. I'm going to blame the restaurant for having bad food. And that means we just have an experience together. Oh, we didn't like that food.
00:19:33
But I'm like, but you know what? Actually, there's a nice dessert spot nearby or something like that. We can still save it. Okay, so you're nice. Why would you? I would be like, we're not going there. That's garbage. Oh. Well, no, I mean, I think that that's okay, too. Okay. Yeah, no, I think that would all— Fucking connections. No, if I knew the restaurant was, like, didn't have a great reputation, I would steer them in another direction. But say I didn't know and that we just met up that day, that time.
00:19:59
Yeah, that's fine. That's still putting in effort, though. Right. When they, like, suggest a place and they're like, hey, I know that a bunch of, you know, creators— posted this place do you want to go like that's not their fault yeah you know that's not their fault that they saw that this place was like popping but because we're on like the inner circle of it we know like oh that was for content that's not real like yeah yeah so here's the correct answer for how you should take a woman out on a date you pay for everything if you're a guy if you're not paying for everything for in your guy you're a fucking piece of shit work harder put money away budget you shouldn't be dating so then you can then take a woman out you should pay for Her Uber, if she's going to do ride share, you should pay for her babysitter.
00:20:38
If she has to get a babysitter, she's spending hours, hours to get ready for this thing. Because women have to put so much into it. Well, guess what? It's an hour more than a guy's got to fucking do. A guy goes in, washes his balls, maybe shaves. That's it. Gone. Out the door. Okay. A woman, it's a whole thing. You've got it. The outfit, the shoes, your hair, your makeup, the whole thing. Where are we going? Well, what's the lighting there? The whole thing. I also haven't been on a date in two years, though.
00:21:07
Right. Right. Yeah. Your hymen says thank you. All right. Your hymen says I'm back. But that was back when I was dating. It was she didn't pay for a thing. Right. Yeah. Every time. Every time. Yeah. Every. And one of the biggest flexes I did, which was good, was paying for the babysitter. I would say, give me your babysitter's Venmo. And that would just. How much? Done. Wait. Out of respect. If you've been dating for a couple months, right? Let's say you're dating four or five months.
00:21:34
And she goes, you know what? I'm going to take care of this one. Do you respect her for that? Nope. Or do you go, no? No. Really? Nope. Your money's no good here. That's my job. That's my job as a man to pay for the meal. See, I feel like I start to feel guilty and I'm like, let me get this one. Even if it's something small like getting just the coffee of the day. You're like, let me get your coffee. Oh, that's fine. Okay. A coffee's fine.
00:21:54
But again, like there's a great episode of Sopranos. Again, this is, I'm dating myself, but it's Tony Soprano where... It was him, his daughter, Meadow, and then the boyfriend. And the boyfriend left and paid for the meal. And Tony lost his fucking mind. It's a great clip. Because it's just, again, it's old school. Like, that's my job. I do that. That kind of chivalry, though, is gone. Like, the realistic, like, okay. can we collectively okay the last day do you want do the guy pay or did he ask you to split no okay oh all right if they asked to split i'm like oh i didn't know you want to be friends call them out yeah like i've seen her call out guys and i'm like i just ghost him i'm like okay i'm like if times are that tough then you shouldn't be dating biggest mistake i ever did was one of the dates i went on the guy asked me to split the bill at the end And I did it.
00:22:48
And then I ended up moving in with that guy. And that relationship turned to shit because that man ended up not having a job for like six months while I paid for everything. Oh, my God. Lesson learned. Lesson learned. That's why you don't split. And that is why I'm celibate. If you could build the ultimate dating app filter to weed out the worst guys or girls in Vegas, what criteria would you set? How many mutuals do we have on Instagram? Yeah. In Vegas? everyone knows everyone so say i go out to an event and you know i meet someone whatever we exchange instagrams if we have more than 10 connections i'm blocking you because that means you know someone who knows someone you've messed with someone or multiple someones that i know and i love dearly and i'm like nope too close to home we gotta get out of here i get that i love that but i kind of like when people can like vouch for somebody else you Yeah, I mean, in the rare occasion where you can vouch for someone.
00:23:44
But in my experience, I would say out of ten times, seven of them, it's like, oh, no, they messed with my classmate's cousin and he cheated on them. And oh, no, he lied. Oh, no, he did this. I'm like, but wouldn't you rather like know that? Like, I saw this app. I don't know. This is like still a thing. But I remember seeing an app where girls would basically like pitch their guy friends like on this app and they can like vouch for them saying like, you know, they're a good guy because of this.
00:24:09
Then why aren't you fucking them? Why aren't you dating him? Okay, Heather, you have good guy friends that you're not. No, I don't. I would never let any of you date my guy friends. Oh, my God. Okay, Talia, you have good guy friends. Who are good boyfriends or when they were single, you knew that they would make good partners, but you just didn't see them like that. I mean, do you have girl friends? If I'm friends with... Here's a fun fact, guys, if you're watching this.
00:24:36
If I'm friends with you, there's a good possibility that I wanted to fuck you at some point. So like all those guys, I then realized I didn't want to fuck them anymore. So then, I mean, obviously not like our influencer friends, but I'm talking like the ones that I actually put effort in to be a friend at some point, I probably wanted to fuck you. And then you did something that made me go, or you did something that made me go, oh, or you did something that made me go, I'd still fuck you, but not date you.
00:25:05
You know what I mean? like There's a like I'm not pawning off any of my guy friends because there's a reason why. Actually, that's a lie. There's a couple I would pawn off. Okay. First of all, pause. What filter would you want in the app that you built? Oh, I would want like the if I could add like the voucher, like a little like voucher from like other females. I don't know if it's like a filter, but you know what I mean? Like just some, just some sort of like, a little Yelp review.
00:25:34
An endorsement. An endorsement. Yeah, exactly. Like on LinkedIn. Exactly. Yeah. A recommendation slash endorsement. Right. Yeah. Right. I'm done. And like, even like I've been on dates with, with guys who I'm like, you know, like it didn't work out for me, but you know what? You might like my friend. I'm not going to hook you up because I don't, I'm not Cupid, but yeah. Like, you know, you're a good guy. I just don't. I have a guy friend that's literally... Fucked like four of my girlfriends cuz I'm like, yeah go fuck him Oh, I just cut someone off because someone made a bad joke and I said, ah, I don't like that because yeah We were chatting on the phone and he was saying things.
00:26:07
I'm like, oh, yeah No, my best friend likes to do that too. And I was like, oh, that's cool You guys have that in common and he went oh is she single? Oh, no, and I went excuse me And I was waiting for him to backtrack apologize something like that, but he dug his heels in deeper The double down? Yeah. And then eventually he was like, oh, maybe I should just set you up with my friend. And I'm like, no, I don't want your friend. And I said, no, do you hear what I'm saying?
00:26:31
I don't want your friend. There's this whole concept of the grass is greener somewhere else. Like the person you end up being with is not going to be perfect, but you love them perfectly. That's it. I don't think people. Yeah, that was beautiful. Put that on a shirt. Put that on a shirt. Yeah, I put that on the shirt. Again, like... I'm head over heels in love with my wife. She's fucking awesome. She's hot. She's funny. She's a great mom. Can I just say, every episode of Fargo Talks...
00:26:57
It's an homage. It's an homage. It's an homage to Brandy. I realize you do that. You do like a good... I do. And I love that for you because you two are so in love. But every episode, you have a moment. She's actually been like, dude, dial it down. And I really try, but it's like... No, I love it. But it's cute. Thank you. I like it. We did the... Thank you. We did the long distance thing, and we manifested that this is going to fucking work.
00:27:18
But see, it worked. And it worked. But it's, again, we're like one 1,000th, you know. But you wanted, you both wanted it to work. We wanted it to work. That's the problem. And like, the things with, like, Brandy, the things that she, and she knows this, she'll see this. Like, she'll leave lights on. Drive you fucking batshit crazy. Right? Like, this morning, I walked out in the garage with the lights on. Because last night, she got some other freezer in the garage. Or other little things she'll do.
00:27:38
But I'm okay with it. Because the good parts of her far outweigh the little leaving the lights on stuff. And I know that she has the same with me. That's love to me is that there's more positives than negatives. But nowadays, especially guys. aren't willing to take that extra step to see what are all the positives that you have. All they're looking for right now is like negative stuff or can I level up with somebody else? How can I leverage this into a free meal or another relationship with somebody?
00:28:09
And it's like, no, Turn everything out. I'm going to focus on you while we're together in this conversation or whatever or FaceTime or something. And let's go from there and see if we can build something. Wait, I have a really fun game right now. for the three of us oh god okay you said you wanted yelp reviews so we're each going to yelp review each other like if we were the yelp review on each other's profile oh okay so i don't that's cute i'll do talls because i know her the best well What do you mean?
00:28:36
No, I just know you. I know you're the best. Oh, out of all. Yeah. I'm going to give Talia a review. I thought that you were going to say that you know Talia better than I know Talia. I was like. I was like, hold up. No. I can't give you. I can't give you. No, because I thought this would be fun. Yeah. To like say. So, okay. But I feel like. I'll give it for Sophia. And then I can also give it for Heather. Yeah. Okay.
00:28:56
I guess we'll both give it for Talia. Okay. Yeah. So, we're going to red flag. Red flag. We were going to give her a Yelp review. I would say. Talia is super like fun and charismatic and like excited about everything. And as long as you're just matching her energy, she will. Be the best partner ever. I really truly feel like that. That is so sweet of you. Yeah. I think that above anything else, Talia is so kind and she's such a great listener. Like I think that like somebody who wants like a best friend in their partner, they would find that in Talia.
00:29:29
If they were deserving, let me just say that. If they were deserving to have somebody as great as her in their life, I think that they would just absolutely adore her. Just because the way that she... is towards strangers is she's very caring. But when she loves you and when you are important to her, she will go above and beyond for you. What would be your, if you were to leave a headline of your review of Talia, of her dating, whatever. Like a caption? Yeah, like a caption.
00:30:00
What would it be? Because I have headers. Oh, like a headliner? 411 cutie. 411 cutie. 411 cutie with a big heart. Okay. Tell ya what would be yours of Heather your headline for her for her your review of her for dating um She looks like she wants to kill you I promise she's nice Okay, you know my head life for her is just like Trump her hymen's back My review of Heather is that She will push you away before she lets you in if I'm gonna be completely That's a And so you need to be able to get through that storm.
00:30:43
But once you do, it is a safe haven. She will love you unconditionally. And she will do whatever she can for you. Do I do that to people? You do. Yes. I push them away? Yes. Girl, I barely, yeah. Honey Bunny, we've talked about this. You have a vetting process that you go through to let anyone in your space, which God bless you for that. It's more people should learn from that. Well, because people are constantly fucking me over. I think you're very protective of your peace.
00:31:09
Yes. And I think that that's really admirable. Well said. Protective of your peace. Yeah. I could see that. One of our mutual friends I put through the ringer pretty fucking hard, and I feel like now on the other side we're really good friends. I'm glad. thank goodness i'm glad you guys made it through that sophia you guys are similar but in different fonts sophia also will not let someone in she will stonewall you until eventually you show up with the care like the characteristics that she's looking for she's not going to tell you but she will like when she sees it you have the secret key and she'd be like okay you get to know my last name i am very secretive like if i if i was dating somebody i nobody would know nobody would know until no one would know if i was dating yeah we were just joking around that she got married she's like oh yeah actually i'll bring my husband i'm like oh wait pause pause pause no i agree with that if you were dating someone how long would it take you to put them on social media oh now okay honestly i've actually thought about this really hard and i would tell my future partner hey this is what i do and don't take it personally but i kind of want to make this like a meme if that makes sense i want to like post everything but your face.
00:32:21
So if I get a drink, thanks, babe. That's actually pretty funny. I'm at dinner and something covers them. It'll be anything but their face. It's not like we're private. It's not like we're secret. We're just private. And I would want to keep it as long as possible until literally someone like someone else exposes it, which I hope they don't. But I would literally tell my friends, this is what we're trying to do. So if you want to take a picture of all of us, put an emoji over their face, put the caption over their face, make it funny.
00:32:47
That's so funny. That's a good one. That's cute. What is the most backhanded compliment you've ever received on a date? For me, it's like my job. So they ask me, like, I don't know, somehow they find out what I do. And then they always ask me. You're all over the internet. Well, yeah. But they didn't ask me. Oh. So you get all that food for free. It's very backhanded. I take that as a... Because I've never been like, how are you not 500 pounds? Yeah, stuff like that.
00:33:18
It's relating to the job of like, oh, they ask you to do that? They want you to do that? You I'm like, yes, actually. Do they want to pay you? Obviously not. Or when guys are like, oh, you do that? Oh, I think... I think I could do that too. Yes, yes, yes. I just can't. That is the worst. I'm like, oh, it's just space right now. He's like, ugh. No, actually, this is what I meant to say. They go, oh, you do that? So you mean to tell me I could just grab my phone and just do this and I would get free food?
00:33:49
I could do that. I love when they start to try to do it too. Like all of a sudden you notice that they're posting more of the food content. I was like, yep, have fun. 90% of the guys that I've dated in the past have told me they want to become a content creator after they find out what I do. And they always ask me for advice. Everyone wants to be a content creator because they see it and we make it look like it's all glamorous and free food and free things.
00:34:11
And I get it. I understand. It's part of it, of course. It's part of it. I mean, it's not free, though. Right. It's not necessary. Like, there's no such thing as a free lunch. Yeah. So, yeah, you may get an actual free lunch, but that's not all that goes into it. That's why I don't accept free food anymore. I love what I do. Don't get me wrong, though. Right, you definitely have to work for it. What's wrong? It just seems like the mental acuity means like their capabilities.
00:34:36
Thank you. Because I really was trying to figure out what the fuck you were trying to say. As soon as I said it, I'm like, Heather's going to have no fucking clue what it really means. I have no idea what you're saying right now. Asshole. Sorry. I apologize, Heather. Say it again. Acuity. acuity? Yeah, that's a triple word score. Let's play a game. You say words and I'll tell you what I think they mean. Acuity. I don't know the fucking clue. A cute guy with a T in his name.
00:34:57
His name is Tom. Travis. That's my ex-boyfriend's name. Here we go. I may just close up another centimeter. Here we go. If you could instantly give every single guy one piece of advice to not embarrass themselves, is it... the thing about like the whole like influencer thing is it the um flex about money i feel like guys try way too hard yeah to impress girls and i think that that is like what and it comes off not genuine right exactly and i think that that's why like the money thing like bothers me so much why the content creator thing like bothers us so much is because like you know if you were a content creator if that's what you if that's what who you were then you would be doing it and you wouldn't need to talk to me about it.
00:35:44
you know if you had money you wouldn't need to talk to me about it if you didn't have money we wouldn't fucking be here that's the thing like when you are constantly talking about like money or your status or how how great your job is right you're you're showing your insecurity exactly and that's not who you are right you know that's not who you are that's not who you are so your job does not define you right like just show me who you are right you know like just be Be you.
00:36:09
Be authentic. Do you think that men these days in dating, they put more pressure on themselves because of social media and because they're being compared to other guys? I mean, maybe. But I feel like I think you handle the person. I noticed this the other day. I have a guy friend who was talking to two girls, one that he really, really, really liked and one that he kind of was like, I like her. And the way he treated these girls was mind-blowing to me. The one that he kind of liked, he would like ignore her all the time.
00:36:37
He'd be like, oh, yeah, she's coming over, but I'm going to kick her out by 10 o'clock. And, like, say things like this, right? But then the other girl he really likes, and he was so nervous, and he was like, I don't know what to do. And it just blew my mind to watch this person act this way towards someone he really liked versus someone he didn't. I'm like, if you just treated this one the way you're treating this one, this one would be all over you.
00:36:59
I mean, don't completely disregard it because you're kind of being a dick to this one. But like, stop. Be a little bit more confident in what you have to offer. It will go better. It will be better for you. Is male confidence a lost art in dating? I mean, I don't know. I don't like to. I don't. I'm someone who doesn't like to generalize. I don't say like all men are like this, that or the other. But I think that I know a lot of men who are confident.
00:37:25
I think that what you were saying about social media maybe like gives them the idea that they need to come off as like. alpha and whatever right there's i think a lot on social media about how men should um appear or how how they should want to be perceived in order to gain a woman's attention or love or attraction or whatever um and i think a lot of that is bullshit just because it like i couldn't tell you that there's like one recipe to like getting a girl or getting you know love or finding love or whatever just being yourself and being genuinely yourself like there's been so many times where i saw a guy when i was like oh i don't think he's super attractive but then i would talk to him and i got to see his real authentic self and i was like wait a minute i'm kind of attracted to you like you're kind of fun and then my friends judge me and they're like that guy's hideous and i was like but i like him because like our conversation is great and he's really nice to me and like yeah so i feel like with girls it's more about what did they say there's like a good saying about this.
00:38:25
Like girls wear makeup. to get guys and guys lie to get girls like it was like some weird saying like that because like well but that's all deception though yeah guys go after looks and girls go after words that's what it was so girls wear makeup to get guys while guys lie to get girls and i think that was just a very interesting perspective i'm like why can't you just be your fucking self and if we vibe we vibe and if we don't we don't the guy i have a crush on like is way out of my league way out of my league But I like the way he just is silly and goofy and the banter we have back and forth.
00:38:59
I love good banter. Oh my God. Good banter? I love good banter. Do you have banter? No, literally. Literally, I'm in love. If we could riff back and forth. Forget it. Kind of poke at each other. Poke at each other. Without going too far. It's everything. Yeah. It's everything. I go on, we call them fart walks after dinner. There's a whole TikTok video. This older woman was like, this study was done. So Brandy and I. I'd say three, four nights a week go on like nice long hour and a half.
00:39:26
We call them fart walks. And there's no like we have our phones, but we don't. We're not on it. And we're just talking. And just I call it chit chat, which is banter. And we just talk for an hour and a half about our kids and life and work and put everything under the sun. And it's so cathartic, healing, nice. We like it. Making those connections. Poor Heather. No arrogance. No arrogance. What does that word mean again? No, no arrogance. But it's just I think that to connect like that at an analog level.
00:39:57
Is where you're going to. That's where you're going to see whether you're going to fish or cut bait with a relationship. I think that there's also like a lot of fear in dating because it's like. If this one doesn't work out, I don't know if I'll ever find love. That's the other thing, too. People get scared. Yeah. I feel like there's a lot of pressure with one date. Oh, I found the one, and he doesn't like me, or he did this, and now I'm never going to find someone again.
00:40:20
Yeah. Been there, for sure. Girl. Please. It happens. You double down. Again, if something happens, you're like, okay, that sucked, and you have your healing phase. What I learned from that. and then it's i mean you've got to put yourself back out there eventually yeah or not like i'm not i'm not picking on you what's this pick on fucking heather heather doesn't have an education heather is dumb heather is hyman's clothes heather is a virgin again she's sounding very arrogant i think it's very arrogant um you know what i am a smart never mind i was going wait i never got a headline Thank you.
00:41:02
Oh, well, I mean, I gave you the review, but the headline? Okay. The headline. Don't give me the headline. I don't want one. No, we already gave you a headline. I don't want to hear it again. I'm like, she looks nice, but she'll be mean to you. But if you can take it, then she's the best. Oh, my God. Wait, is a Cinderella or looks like a Cinderella would kill you? Oh, yeah. That's hilarious. I like that one. What's a Vegas girl stereotype that's actually kind of true?
00:41:30
a vegas girl stereotype we really do got the connections right right yeah because vegas girls get in at everywhere for free that is true yeah yeah if you just know the right people you can definitely get in but what if i'm a five foot ten leggy blonde from omaha and i just rolled into town and i'm walking into omnia i can get in yes right yeah there's there's some clubs that are mean dude not anymore Really? Not even. No, literally clubs do not care. I saw somebody with literal tennis shoes and sweatpants at the club.
00:42:00
Like they literally they. Okay. First of all, everybody's beautiful in their own way. Stop it. Stop it. Now you're acting your age. Stop it. Let it fly. But. You're fine. But yeah, no, the clubs don't care. Yeah. The clubs don't care because. If I rolled up in my hair and ponytail with no makeup on it, why don't we try this out? How do we want? I'll try it out. I will literally roll up there like this. No, you can't. Heather, I'm telling you, you can't. Because there's someone for everyone.
00:42:30
You guys should do every single club and film each other and just see who lets you in and who doesn't. The thing is, yeah, you could get in. A promoter could be standing outside the club and be like, hey, you guys want to go to a club tonight? And yeah, you'll get in. But. you'll get like a drink ticket but i'm saying for us like when you're like in the know of like who's who this is a really great video idea thank you so much for coming up with this of course you i mean i could just call up you know vip you know head of vip and i would be able to get a table and a bottle comp and stuff as opposed to like free entry and a drink ticket right do you have a bunch of dms from club promoters being like anytime anytime you want to come yeah I'm like, come on, homie.
00:43:06
Do I look like I go to a club? Do it though with like no makeup, your hair in a ponytail. Yes, I'm saying. What I'm saying is, I'm going to try to walk in looking hot as fuck. No, hot as fuck. And then I'll go to the bathroom and I'll leave the club and come back in and throw sweats on in the club. And then put my hair in a ponytail and try to get in and see what happens. You will be able to get in.
00:43:23
I don't think I will. No, absolutely you'll be able to get in. I think there's still a little. No, because look, people aren't clubbing anymore. there are people like because it's expensive exactly it's expensive in this economy it's 28 a drink i went to a day club where was it a resorts world what's a resorts world and then literally i got a cocktail and a water and it was 50 dollars wow i was like what are we doing wow what are we doing that's why i don't go to the club unless there's the comp but i think that's why like we're seeing like a rise in so many places opening up like play playground uh the chicken and pickle the a bunch of like mini golf places because people really don't want to go to the club anymore the club is not it right and like they play the same music get drunk that's why they don't care they're like they'll let anybody in like they don't care like how you're dressed or what you look like or anything like they just need people in there to buy shit.
00:44:13
It doesn't. So, yes, you could go in wearing sweats like it doesn't matter. Are our Vegas clubs dying? I think so. I think so. I mean, I guess so. I don't know. I feel like I don't have enough of an opinion. No, I don't think so because the tourists are still going to go there because they— I think when you have a perspective of Vegas, this is what I've understood. When you have a perspective of Vegas, it's the place where you can go and put on a hot dress or go put on a nice suit, and you can have a night of the hangover where you can just get fucked up, gamble your life away, go to the club, take some hot bitch home, and then you're living your best 24 hours.
00:44:48
And you go home on the plane hungover. We're the only city in the world you can do that. Really? Absolutely. Tell me another city where you can fly in. They are 24 hours, party, You can get any type of girl you want. Either you're going to pay for it or organically. Any type of drug you want, you can pay for it or get it organically. Someone's going to give it to you. Connections. Connections. Have a great time with somebody that you want to be intimate with, and then hop on the plane the next day and back you go to Anchorage, Alaska.
00:45:19
Wait, I... This is a whole other show. Economy right now is just in a different position. The reason why the clubs are dying is because it's too expensive to go to the club. You know what's crazy is someone made a very interesting perspective that Vegas is no longer the affordable place that you can live your dreams. It's not affordable anymore. So people are probably not coming here as often as they used to because a night in Vegas used to be 99 cent trip cocktail. Go to the buffet.
00:45:44
You got a free room because you gambled more than $200 at the casino. Now it's. you have to gamble $10,000 to get a free room at the casino. Or if you want free show tickets, you have to gamble $20,000 for the free show tickets. So I feel like Vegas is just not the city it used to be. They have their own algorithms now. Yeah. That they didn't in the past. Yeah. I, to this day, say this town was at its peak when the mob ran it.
00:46:10
When the mob ran Vegas, everyone got dressed up. No one gets dressed up anymore. No one gets dressed up anymore. Like people got dressed up. There was rules. You didn't fuck with anybody because if you did, you'd end up in a barrel out in Lake Mead. Now we're seeing all their bodies come out. Now Fern, the blackjack dealer from the Four Queens who went missing in 1962 is dismembered in an oil drum. And here's Fern. I want to see an oil drum open and some girl in a really fancy dress pop out.
00:46:37
With the giant head. Oh my God. Wait, what just happened? What showgirl died? It's all legs. It's like an extended double drum. It's literally just a barrel of skeleton bones and a fancy dress. Her femur is like four feet long. How did I get to this point? What is a femur? What do you mean? This is your femur. Vegas education. I'm sorry. No, you're good. Thank you. Words we learned today. This is my last big question. What's your biggest what the fuck moment from a date that still makes you laugh?
00:47:11
I have so many. Well, one of them was the guy who said within the first five minutes, I'm on Are We Dating the Same Guy? And I was like, well, that's not good. Like, that's not going to go well. Another first date was, oh, shit. Oh, someone on the dating apps the other day did this to me, and I thought this was so weird. So, long story short. Wait, you're on dating apps? No, I'll explain why I was on it. Hold on, let her finish. I'll explain why.
00:47:35
So, when I went to Denver, I downloaded the dating apps because I wanted to see what the men in Denver look like. Because I was going to do an Instagram video about. how the men in Denver are so much better than the men in Vegas. And so I was screen recording all that and swiping and doing that. I accidentally forgot to delete the profile. So when I got back to Vegas, I'm getting like DMs on Instagram being like, I just swiped right on you on Bumble.
00:47:55
And I was like, I'm not on Bumble. What are you talking about? And he's like, yes, you are. And I was like, no, I'm not. And I was like, oh, fuck, I didn't delete the profile. So when I put it on there, because I was trying to like get men to respond to me, I put on there that I was not trying. I was like looking for something fun. And I feel like that opens the floodgates to every fuckboy. So I get back to Vegas and I'm like, oh, let me swipe a couple times, see what's going on in Vegas nowadays.
00:48:22
See the usual suspects of five or six years, same motherfuckers on the app. Like that's mind blowing to me. That's a conversation of its own. Why are the same men from five or six years ago when I was on dating apps still there? That's weird to me. Why don't you find anyone yet? Same picture. same picture same everything like we're laughing we're going on dates having relationships and you're still there so anyway this guy matches with me and i was like oh he's cute whatever talking to him he goes you know how i got i gotta tell you i just saw your profile and it says that you're not looking for something serious don't you think you're a little too old be looking for casual dating i'm sorry but i really need to get out of this conversation i wish you well on your journeys of just getting fucked.
00:49:04
And I was like, Well, I didn't even mean to be on this app, first off. Shut it off. That's not what happened, but okay. Have a great day. Dang. I was like, that's crazy. You're crazy. You're crazy. You're crazy. You're crazy. Thank you for showing me your true colors without even having to talk to you more than 10 minutes. That was a very easy, like, goodbye. Yeah, but you didn't even say goodbye. Just stop talking to me. You're weird. He was like talking to himself, like in your messages.
00:49:30
Like you didn't even get a chance to respond. He was just like, oh, that's weird. He was writing me paragraphs. And then all of a sudden he's like, I just looked at your profile. By the way, he's writing me paragraphs. And then all of a sudden he goes, by the way, I just looked at your profile. And it says you're into casual dating. And that's not what I'm about. And you're too old for that. And I was like, homie. Judgey Judgerson. Yeah. I was like, homie, this is why you're single.
00:49:50
Get it together. Okay. He didn't have a chance anyway, so. I mean, he might have. I'm drawing the biggest blank. So can you please help me out? Adopt a dog. Girl, do we really want to talk about adopt a dog? Adopt a dog? Now you have to. Adopt a dog. You might see this. Who cares? Well, we can leave out some specified details. Oh, yeah, yeah. But by that, I just meant, okay, it's so funny. Before coming on this, I was like, I don't really know if I want to talk about dating stories.
00:50:17
I even asked Heather, please don't bring up any people I've dated in the past. But okay, I will tell this. I do tell people this story. This happened like almost two years ago. I call it adopt a dog. This is the only tourist I ever went out with. Basically, we matched. We chatted. The conversation was good. But then he told me that he didn't live in Vegas. And immediately, as soon as someone says that, I just like unmatch. But he goes, but I'm not coming to party.
00:50:42
I don't drink. I don't like smoke. I don't do anything. I'm actually coming to visit my father. And my friend just graduated from nursing school. So I'm going to celebrate. I was like, okay, whatever. Basically, I go to bed. I wake up. It's like I woke up at 6 a.m. He texted me at like 3 a.m. Are you awake? And I replied. I'm like, I am now. He was in the airport since midnight that night. And I went, why? This guy didn't book a hotel for the night he landed in.
00:51:05
He was waiting for the following day. And I thought that was insane. And I thought it was just a fluke on his part. I was like, oh, well, that sucks. Like, you know, what are you doing today? He goes, oh, my dad was supposed to get me. But now he's saying he doesn't want to come get me. I don't like it. He didn't come get him. Yeah. So I kind of fell into that trap. You did it? Yeah. Oh, no. Okay. Now, no one say a word.
00:51:27
Talia, continue. Thank you. Thank you. So he kind of put the idea in my head and I was like, well, okay, how about this? How about we go to breakfast and I will drop you off at your dad's house and I will continue on with my Sunday morning or Saturday morning. And he went, okay, great. I pull up. And he also said, just so you know, I'm a short king. I'm like, okay, well, I'm short queen, so that doesn't really matter. No, we were eye to eye, and I'm 4'11".
00:51:52
So I was like, oh, hi, sir. And then he's wearing his work uniform, which was a restaurant uniform. And I'm like, so you've been in the airport since midnight. You haven't changed out of your uniform. Also, you told me you were in the fire academy. No, he lied. He was getting into the fire academy in a few months. Wait, I think I remember this story. Yes. Sorry, sorry. I'm trying to give you a clip notes. But we went to the breakfast spot and all the way I was making conversation and I was like, oh, what like, you know, what's your favorite kind of food?
00:52:20
And he looked at me and he said, chicken tenders. That's my worst nightmare. Actually, biggest red flag is picky eater. Biggest red flag is a picky eater for me. Absolutely. So when he said chicken tenders, my heart dropped. And I went, are you a picky eater? And he just went, yeah, he did that. And I was like, oh, this is not going to go well. So we get to the restaurant. He doesn't find anything he wants. I order what I like from that restaurant. And then he was like, oh, what should I get?
00:52:51
I jokingly closed my eyes, went like this. And I said, oh, you should get the croquette madame like Monte Cristo. Yeah, Monte Cristo sandwich. And then he goes, okay. I said I'm joking. I was joking. Please don't get that. You won't like it. You won't like it. You won't like it. He orders it anyway. I think I would like that as a chicken finger lover. I begged the waitress, please don't give that to him. He will not like it. And he was like, no, I want it.
00:53:15
Gets it. He takes one bite. He looks like he wants to vomit. Like he was like, really? And I was like, are you okay? And he just went and like literally looked like I was torturing him. And I felt so bad. I said, do you want to send it back? Like we can get something else. And he was like, no, no, it's okay. I'm like, I will literally say something like, and I'm not a person that sends things back. But I'm like, you look literally miserable.
00:53:39
So. cut to the end of breakfast whatever as we're leaving the parking lot he goes oh is that a navy federal bank i was like yeah why he goes that's my bank and where i'm from we don't have any like actual locations i could get a debit card what i'm like what does that mean he goes oh i lost my debit card a long time ago and i'm like well how have you been paying for things he said apple pay your cash and i'm like you don't have a credit card i don't know so anyway then i'm like where does your dad live i will drop you off he goes i don't want to see that man And I'm like, what are you trying to say?
00:54:10
Because now I just have this man in my passenger seat. This is why we don't go on dating apps. And he went, where are you going now? And he came to the farmer's market with me and my friend and her dog. And I'm like, dude, I was not expecting to bring a man with me to my safe place, the farmer's market. I love that thing so much. And then we got lunch afterwards with my friend. We went to Lazy Dog and I was like, hey, you didn't eat breakfast.
00:54:40
Like you said you like chicken tenders. I look on the menu. I look on the kids menu. There's no chicken tenders. The waitress walks up and she goes, can I get you guys anything? And I looked at her and I went, do you guys have chicken tenders? And she was like, no, we don't. She's like, but we have plain wings and I can bring sauce on the side. Sure. Bring that out. He picks it up like he's never seen a chicken wing in his life. And he just did like a little like Squidward bite like that.
00:55:04
And he had the same face of like. Like, like he was like forcing himself. It was actually really embarrassing. And so after that, I was like, okay, well, you don't want to go to your dad. I literally don't know what to do with this guy. And I took him to the bank to get a debit card. You were too nice. This was two years ago. I would never, just so you know, I would never, ever, ever do this again. Two years ago, I literally been like, I'm going to the bathroom and then try to find an exit route.
00:55:32
I had his luggage in my trunk. That's not code for anything. No connections. I would have took out his luggage and left it on the street. You deserve that. We ended up going to another restaurant after that. Because he wanted to try another thing that he's never had before. Hated it, by the way. And then finally we killed enough time and I took him to his hotel. And as I was saying goodbye to him, he went, yeah, you said if I need you, you'd come back, right?
00:55:59
No. And I... I got out of there. I called Sophia. She goes, girl, what is with this adopt-a-dog you had for a day? Okay, so the reason why I call it adopt-a-dog story is because you know how you can foster a dog for a day? That's what she did with this man. You fostered a dog for a day. Yeah. What hotel was you staying at? I don't want to. No. But it's not. Was it on the strip? I don't want to name drop them. I don't.
00:56:22
I don't want to name drop them. I mean, you already pretty much told the story. It was not on the strip. It was downtown. Okay. I'll say that. Was it El Cortez? No. California. Nope. Justice for El Cortez. no okay i'll tell you off the record okay okay but he's not like he's still there it wasn't i don't want to talk down on any property yeah yeah no oh no i get what you're saying okay fine we stayed at the plaza i'm not saying any of those times like those are a vibe yeah this is a negatively associated story and i don't want to talk about i get that okay man i wish i had a story like that Girl, why?
00:56:56
So everyone can tell you how dumb you are? No, you're not dumb. You're sweet, but at the same time. You're not dumb. You're literally being sweet. That man was being stupid. This is like episode 85, 84. That's probably one of the best stories. That's like in the top three. Off the record, I got more stories for you. That's top three. What is your thing? I do it for the plot? Oh yeah, my whole thing is I love doing things for the plot. That's why I was...
00:57:22
it makes for a great story doesn't it i'm a man traumatized me for three years and that's as far as i go do the apps work at all there's some stories no for some people honestly it did for me but i think for men one in 100 it's it's a better experience yeah compared to what yeah well ben always tell me that it's so hard like i was talking to someone the other day i was like i found his bumble profile so i was just joking with him and he goes it's not really working out for me and i'm like how you're so hot like how's that not working out for you like well maybe it's them Maybe, but...
00:57:52
I was like, I don't understand. Like, if you're a hot guy, you probably got so many good looking girls all over you. I can talk about Puffer Jacket. I know. Can we just make this like Talia tells us her plot stories? Oh, one more. Yeah. Puffer Jacket. No, this is my, this might be my favorite. So I was, I was in San Diego for a weekend. I go to California very often for, to make content. And I got a DM from someone and it said, hit me back.
00:58:15
Let's fall in love. And I'm curious. So I said, I said, really go with their profile. They're private. And their profile picture is taken from far away. So I couldn't tell how handsome they were. But they looked to be around my age. But it was hard to say unless I actually got into their profile. So I requested. And I was like, where do you live? Because I assume he saw a Vegas video. He lives in Vegas. He goes, no, I live in LA. And I went, oh, well, I live in Vegas.
00:58:38
But I'm actually in San Diego right now, which is about two hours from where he was. And he went, OK, well, I have a free day this weekend. I'll drive down to San Diego and take you on a date. Wow. And I went, what? Because for me, I'm like, if you show the effort, then I will go out with you. So he does. While I'm in San Diego making content, he drives two hours. And on the way, he stops at a store. He picks up cocktail ingredients.
00:59:01
With his debit card that he had. Right. He had a debit card. He had a debit card. He had a debit card. Okay, winning. And he also bought me bouquet of flowers as well. And so we met up at a public location. And he made us drinks and we talked and he gave me the flowers. And I'm like, wow. And the whole time he was just like, wow, you were just like so much prettier in person. Like you are blah, Like he was being very nice, very chivalrous.
00:59:24
And I'm like, wow, imagine that this man who wants to approach me, who wants to show me the time of day. I will, you know, see where this goes. But I also have like very high standards. So fast forward, he meets my friends because I was there with two other girlfriends. He drove us to our next location together. And he, you know, like... bought our drinks and whatnot. And so we remained in contact. I went back to Vegas, but I said, hey, I'll be back in California in a week.
00:59:48
I'm going to Palm Springs. So that's only an hour away from where he lived. So that following week, I'm in Palm Springs. He drives again. He picks me up. He takes me out for ice cream. And then he goes back to the Airbnb that me and all my friends were at. There was like 20 of us in this Airbnb. And also they are my like work. They're my co-workers, but I also consider them like very close friends. So this is big for me for them to like meet him i wasn't intending for them to meet him but it was just like in palm springs everything closes at six o'clock so there's nothing to do and everyone at the house was like just bring him here just bring him here we have alcohol we have food we have things we have a pool like you know just really trying to encourage it so you know what else is there to do than that you know you only have limited time together um so and then they all died No.
01:00:34
We're good. We're safe, by the way. We're good. Sophia was there. I was scared, but I was safe. Anyway, so we got to hang out at the house. He goes back to home. I go back to Vegas. He was planning to come into Vegas. And then all of a sudden, he calls me. And I go, hey, what's up? He said, I have to talk to you. And I went, oh, he is breaking things off. Okay, why? You know, that's what my immediate thought was. I went.
01:01:01
What's going on? And he said, I lied about everything. And I went, what does that mean? Like, like lied about liking me? Like, what is what are you talking about? And he went, uh, so he told me that he owned a business. Oh, I remember this guy. Mm hmm. And. I was like, great. And one business owner to another, like, I feel like we really connected on that level of like being entrepreneurs and whatnot. So I was like, yeah, like go do your thing. I support your hustle.
01:01:28
I really support you taking the time out of your day to drive all this time to come see me, like whatever. So he's like, I lied about owning a business. And I was just very confused because that's like the basis of how we like connected is like understanding each other's like hustle. And I was like, Oh, what do you mean? Like whose business is it then? He said his employee. But the employee was the actual owner. So I'm like, oh, you're the employee. And I'm like, because you didn't lie.
01:01:55
Like, you've shown me pictures of, like, your business and what you were doing and, like, the results of it. But turns out he was just taking over his friend's business for a month. I went, why were you taking it over for a month? He went, oh, because the actual owner was on house arrest. Okay. Right. So it turns out this guy had no job. He had no car and no business. And... His friend was on house arrest, so that's why he took over his business. He got some confidence.
01:02:20
Yeah, he was driving around in the car that wasn't his. He was claiming a business that wasn't his. And he was lying straight to my face. Wow. Fucking asshole. And met all of us. And met all of my dear friends. Yeah. And now I just feel like, dang, can I ever trust anyone? You know? No. That's the biggest thing. But the thing is, he came to me. It's not like we met on a dating app. This man found me and lied to my face and said, I own a business.
01:02:45
I have these qualities and turns out he lied about all of that. I'm going to say this. I think we have a target on our back. We have a target on our back because we look happy on social media. We are thriving. We are doing fun stuff. We are eating at the coolest places. We're going on fun vacations. We have a target on our back where we look like someone can easily come in and take advantage of it. And all they have to do, because this happened exactly to me, not to that extent, but had it to me where someone came into my life, told me all the right words.
01:03:15
I fell for them. This is the reason why I'm single. Here you go. Told me all the right words. Made me feel the most incredible I've ever felt in my life. I was so happy just to fuck me over and find out that everything he ever said to me was a lie. And I was like, I will never be able to trust again. So if you're wondering where the big wall comes up where people have to like, I have to test them to see how much they'll stay.
01:03:38
That's where it comes from. Because I'm like, I want to see how much you'll go through to actually stay in this. Yeah. Because. That man fucked me up so bad. And he is the reason why I am single and the reason why I won't date. I'm sorry. It's all right. No, it's not. No, honestly, if I look at it now. It sucks. I'm sorry. If I look at it now, that was the best thing that could have happened for me. Because I took it and I really processed it.
01:04:00
You know, like when you see those memes that say, like, watch which ex goes and runs to the next person. That ex goes to this. Because I sat back and I said, all right, we're never going to let a man do this to me again. We're never going to. We're going to. notice the signs we're going to notice this and we're going to make sure that this does never happen again and that truly is what happened it's awesome so i grew from it and now i will not let any man enter my life and enter me no connections no connections no connections unless i feel like you are a genuine yeah and i have good banter like what is the one thing that will get a guy Like banter?
01:04:40
Banter. Oh, banter for sure. Banter, it will make you at least let me have conversations with you. Banter slash humor. Yeah. Yeah. If you have that, then you'll get to that next step with me, at least like hanging out with me more. If you're a guy, if you're funny, you can be with a girl way above your pay grade. Oh, for sure. Way above your pay grade if you make a girl laugh. For sure. And it's not cutting or self-deprecating also. Don't do self-deprecating. It doesn't work.
01:05:04
But just to lighten, to keep things light. Yeah. We all need that in our lives sometimes. That person that just makes us laugh or sends us funny shit on DMs. That's cool. I was telling her the other day, the guy that I think is hot. I was like, look at the joke between him and I. I'm like, does he like me? I don't know. I can't tell if he likes me. But it was cute little banter back and forth. I love that. And I was like, that's my favorite.
01:05:27
And that will get me every time. So I think if any guys are watching this, which most of my audience is guys, they're going to die when they see this stuff. I love it. Be chivalrous. banter be funny don't lie period don't lie about anything that's going to come out and if you are if you're still going to get laid you do you but if you're looking for a serious relationship and that's the expectation that's been set full disclosure on everything full disclosure and let the chips fall where they may absolutely I would date a guy that like is maybe not like into his full career If the banter was good and he was sweet, like he doesn't need to be like a rich, rich man for me to be like, let me date you.
01:06:09
Like as long as the banter is good and you're a kind human and I can have fun with you and I can trust you, I don't really give a fuck what you do. If you're honest and kind, that can take you very far. Honest, kind and funny. Wow. Also, I'm going to just add like growth mindset to that only only because I'm like, you know, in the point in my career where I feel like I'm. Yeah. When you get to 34, you will just be like anything will be great.
01:06:33
As long as you're nice. I'll take you. I'll take you. But like, in all honesty, like I had this conversation with one of my friends and she was like, I don't like this. like the idea of a man with ambition because ambition means that he's always like looking for the next best thing so she says like a growth mindset um meaning that he is like looking to just like improve like himself and like one that goes to therapy and is constantly like working and studying on things or like having hobbies and stuff right yeah something outside of like the relationship because i think that when people don't have things outside of a relationship then it just creates this like really toxic dependent.
01:07:16
yeah when you're yeah yes that's a really good point because if you're not busy doing your own thing you're gonna come and bug me all the time like i would love to date a guy that's like busy be busy and then so when we do spend that one or two days a week together it's really nice and it's enjoyable yeah be busy yeah because i'm busy and i don't have fucking time for you agreed agreed i'm putting the extra time i do have i'm booked and busy i'm booked and busy i'm taking those extra moments though to bring you to something cool or to spend the time with you because I want to.
01:07:45
Right, yeah. And then those moments are going to be better. If any of you want to date... and in history. Look, can I just say this is not my best. I just came from Yogalotties. I was pulled from Yogalotties to come here. Okay. Stop. You're fine. Stop it. God, keep yourself grace, kiddo. If you want to be the next story. If you want to be like how Taylor Swift puts all of her exes in her songs. If you want to be in content of one of these ladies because if it goes south you're fucked.
01:08:12
I will make a story about you. They'll be tagged in the video description. Thank you, ladies. Thank you so much. Thank you. Thank you.
